Need Motivation?

Now let's talk about your meeting your fitness goals.  Who doesn't need motivation?  We all do!  I'm currently going through my 8th round of P90X and I still need motivation!  In the back of mind I still get all the little reasons why I can't workout on any given day.  Too tired.  Bad day.  Long day.  Short on time.  Don't feel like it.  I still struggle with the same things you struggle with, but I have a few suggestions 

  • Pick a day and get started, make it today!  I highly recommend a structured program, so pick one, get it ordered, and get ready to get in great shape.  But today, start planning.  Go for a walk, a run, start moving.  Don't try to get in great shape today!  We want you to make a lifestyle change, it's a not sprint to the finish.  It's a long steady race to a healthier you!
  • Start thinking about your nutrition.  We have some great articles, take some time to read up.  For the most part, it's calories in and calories out.  You want to burn more calories than you consume.  Your diet and nutrition will make up 80-90% of your success to a new you.  I highly recommend you get on a diet that you can live with for the long term.  No fad diets, no strict low calorie diets.  You want a diet that can give you a lifestyle change.  Something that you can maintain.  Did I mention that I encourage cheat meals? 
  • Be prepared, the first 2 - 4 weeks will be the hardest for you once the program arrives.  But as you see results, your whole life will start to change.  Then it gets easier every day to workout and eat right.
  • Find a partner, someone to help you stay accountable.  Family, friends, co-workers.  Tell everybody you are starting a program.  Every day, just push play on your DVD player.  Just show up, push play.  Keep pushing play.  You'll start toning up, losing weight, looking great!  If you don't have a workout partner, I'm here to help you.  Keep reading....
  • Make a goal, get a calendar, every day you workout, cross off a day.  make it a personal goal to have a minimum of 20 workouts per month.
